Jackie Traverse is a multi-disciplinary First Nation female artist from Winnipeg, Ojibway and Anishinaabe from Lake St. Martin First Nation, MB. Her work combines popular and traditional cultural reflections through urban living, contemporary visual art, and her own cultural practices. Working in oils, acrylics, mixed media, sculpture, and stop motion animation, Jackie is deeply moved by the injustices faced by First Nations people and is committed to her community.
